Budget 2025 , halwa ceremony date and time: The pre-budget annual tradition - Halwa Ceremony – will be held on Friday, January 24. The finance ministry performs the customary ritual every year before the ‘lock-in’ process of officials involved in the Union Budget preparation starts.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharman is set to present the Union Budget 2025-26 on Saturday, February 1. Ahead of this, the ministry will hold the annual tradition on Friday evening.

Marking the final stage of the preparation process of the Union Budget, the Halwa ceremony will be performed at 5 pm on Friday, January 24, in North Block.
